Dr Jane Thompson - Haematologist
MBBS, MD, PhD
Jane Thompson is an experienced clinical and laboratory haematologist who completed her training at The Royal Adelaide Hospital in Adelaide, The Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre and Royal Melbourne Hospital. She has extensive research experience having recently submitted her thesis for PhD supported by NHMRC in malignant haematology at SAHMRI. Prior to her PhD candidature, she undertook multiple research endeavors in anaemia, iron and multiple myeloma. Patient care is her passion and she is dedicated to offering the most up to date and personalised treatment options while considering her patients’ goals and best interests at all times. She has a particular interest in working up cases of complex anaemia to achieve the best patient outcomes but is committed to offering care in all areas of malignant and non-malignant haematology such as bleeding and clotting issues, obstetric haematology, neutropenia and other blood count concerns, thalassemia, MGUS, multiple myeloma, chronic lymphocytic leukaemia, lymphoma.
